The Flush Program

The Liver & Gallbladder Flush Program

The program is simple and there are aspects which can be individualized according to your Ayurvedic body type, your sensitivities, your preferences. No person is the same and where choices need to be made, I can make recommendations.

If you have never had colon hydrotherapy, or if it has been a long time since you have had a session, I recommend you have a minimum two prior to beginning the program as an important part of the prep itself. In addition, it is necessary for me, as your care practitioner, to responsibly glean information regarding your health history and how your colon responds to treatment. Then we’d know with clarity how to proceed in your best interest.

Each Day: Drink one quart of water with a teaspoon of malic acid (available at the Center). The purpose of the malic acid is to soften hardened bile from the liver/gallbladder.

The Diet: Avoid meat and fish (for the week), all acidic foods and beverages, i.e. all processed foods, sodas, coffee, dairy, sugar, flour, fried foods, alcohol, smoking, so forth. Andreas recommends avoiding cold or chilled beverages as it will inhibit cleansing. (I will be happy to make further dietary recommendations on an individual basis to assist you in optimizing your success.)

The Sixth Day: Eat very lightly and not after approximately 1PM. Don’t forget your quart of malic acid water. Schedule your colon hydrotherapy session in the afternoon a few hours after your last meal of the day.
The Flush: Follow the instructions In Chapter 4 Andreas’ book. He gives precise and detailed description of every move you make from 6PM to 10PM.

The Flush Continues: Follow the epsom salt protocol for the morning of the seventh day. Also, follow the instructions regarding fresh juices. If you have followed the instructions exactly, your body’s response, is exactly perfect for your body. I have learned from clients, that, not only do experiences vary from person to person, they vary every time the cleanse is performed. Trust that your experience is part of your healing. To quote Andreas: “There are no risks involved if you follow all the directions to the letter.”

What You Take for the Flush: Epsom salts in water to dilate the ducts and make it painless for stones to pass (squeeze in some lemon to make it more palatable). Olive oil creates gall bladder/liver contractions. This loosens waste materials and bile so that they may move out through the dilated ducts. Citrus draws forth the stones.

Andreas makes this recommendation for the second colonic directly related to the flush: “This should ideally be done on the second or third day after the liver flush.” The reason: “If gallstones remain in the colon, they can cause irritation, infection, headaches,…These stones can eventually become a source of toxemia in the body.”

Andreas recommends you repeat this flush monthly until there are no stones for two consecutive flushes.

Optional Kidney Cleanse: Andreas recommends you do following the fourth flush. It’s so easy and you are cleansing another organ! Drink a special kidney flush herbal tea for three weeks, available from Present Moment Books and Herbs at 800-378-3245.
